We start by inputting the specific wall assembly materials into the WUFI program and then input which city the building is in, building height, compass orientation, wind-driven rain, prevailing wind direction and building reflectivity. The WUFI calculations link the thermal flow through the wall with moisture flow through the wall, hour by hour for years to come. The end result can predict mold creation on any wall assembly surface and moisture build-up within the insulated cavity. This program will also predict mold outcomes due to leaks or trapped moisture in the wall cavity during construction. |
