Josh Philippi

Project Inspector

Mr. Philippi started with BEE Consulting, LLC in August of 2019 in our Portland, Oregon office. He took on the role of a project field inspector in regards to building envelope waterproofing. Some of his duties in this role consist of building envelope inspections for quality assurance, adherence to the building envelope details, and issuing inspection reports to the construction team and the client. As we grow the Portland Office, Mr. Philippi also assists in presentations, marketing efforts, and helping out in many areas, becoming a valued member of the BEE team.

Prior to working at BEE, Mr. Philippi worked for Habitat for Humanity as Vice President of Construction for seven years. During that time, he developed, managed, and sustained building projects and practices for over 60 multi-family and mixed-use dwellings annually. He also increased home efficiencies and sustainability through best practice building and energy technology, developed and managed an annual budget of almost $18 million, and was responsible for recruiting, hiring, and retaining staff and volunteers as well as training, professional development, and supervision of six project teams. Mr. Philippi was also responsible for managing architects, engineers, and consultants, the design process, project quality and assurance, developing and implementing a warranty program, and documenting project progress and building technology practices.

Before working at Habitat for Humanity, Mr. Philippi was Director of Operations for Miji Construction, Inc. in Forest Grove, Oregon. His duties included estimating and bidding all incoming projects and researching leads for both commercial and residential projects, scheduling and supervising projects, training and mentoring laborers, carpenters, and foremen, and communication with project managers, superintendents, and homeowners.
