Jack Welch, RRO, REWO
Project Inspector
Mr. Welch joined BEE Engineers in February of 2022 as a Project Inspector. In his duties as a Project Inspector, Mr. Welch inspects buildings for compliance to codes in regard to building envelope waterproofing and provides the client with an inspection report of findings and recommendations. In May of 2024, Mr. Welch earned the Registered Roof Observer (RRO) designation, and then in June of 2024, he earned the Registered Exterior Wall Observer (REWO) designation from the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC).
Prior to coming to work for BEE, Mr. Welch worked for the University of Portland as a Carpenter. At the University of Portland, Mr. Welch managed the carpentry related needs of campus facilities. This included leak repairs after heavy rains, tracking time and materials with the university’s TMA/MMS system, working in conjunction with other departments to accomplish joint projects, prioritizing the carpentry projects, and organizing and managing student workers involved in the carpentry projects.
Before working at the University of Portland, Mr. Welch was a self-employed Contractor who specialized in Custom Home Remodels. In this role, Mr. Welch would repair, remodel and refurbish privately owned homes. This utilized his organization, communication, and management skills, as well as his superior quality of carpentry over a variety of tasks, such as electrical, tile, masonry, plumbing, painting, etc.
